Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this study, we propose a method for analyzing phase synchronization mode distribution in order to quantify phase synchronization in noisy and nonstationary signals. To evaluate our method, we applied this analysis to two coupled Hindmarsh-Rose neuron model comparing with conventional phase synchronization analyses. The results indicated that our method was more effective for phase synchronization than the conventional ones. Next, our proposed method applied to MEG data obtained in a psyhchological task, and the results indicated that our method succesfully detected brain activity which related to the task that is difficult to be detected conventional methods. Therefore, our puroposed method is more effective for phase synchronization analysis, and is also useful in application to brain science.
