Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Human can efficiently grasp and dextrously manipulate various objects using their fingers cooperatively. When a subject attains proficiency in rotating manipulation of a cylindrical object, his/her fingers are rhythmically controlled. A CPG-based manipulation is effective to apply in such a rhythmic motion. In this paper, the control method that can adaptively change switching cycles of grasping fingers according to an object's size is proposed. Experimental results using a multi-fingered hand system suggest the efficiency of the CPG-based manipulation using the proposed method.
