Abstract(in English) In this report, we propose two 2-Dimensional Pilot-Symbol-Assisted (2-D PSA) MMSE channel estimation schemes for MIMO-OFDM systems. In the conventional 2-D PSA MMSE channel estimation, we first perform the Least Square (LS) estimation for the pilot symbols. Next by using the channel correlation in time-domain and frequency-domain, we compute the channel frequency responses for all the subcarriers in the MMSE channel estimation from the channel frequency responses computed by the LS estimation. We first propose the 2-D PSA MMSE channel estimation where we assume the frequency channel responses of some adjacent subcarriers in an OFDM block and those of some adjacent OFDM symbols in a subcarrier to be the same. Owing to this assumption, we can reduce the computational complexity of the 2-D PSA MMSE channel estimation. We also propose the 2-D PSA MMSE channel estimation where we extend MMSE channel estimation size to improve the MSE performance. Compared with the conventional 2-D PSA MMSE channel estimation, the first proposed channel estimation achieves the same MSE performance with the low computational complexity and the second one achieves the good MSE performance with the increase of the computational complexity.
