Abstract(in English) | This paper presents experimental results on adaptive selection of surviving symbol replica candidates (ASESS) based on the maximum reliability for QRM-MLD in MIMO Multiplexing using VSF-Spread OFDM Radio access. The experimental results elucidate that the measured loss in the required average received signal energy per symbol-to-background noise power spectrum density ratio (E_s/N_0) per receiver antenna at the average packet error rate of 10^<-2> by the experiments is suppressed within 1 and 2 dB compared to computer simulation results for channel coding rate of R=1/2 and 8/9, respectively, using 16QAM modulation and Turbo coding in 4-by-4 MIMO multiplexing with the number of surviving symbol replica candidates of S_<2-4>=28. We also demonstrate that the real-time packet transmission of greater than 1 Gbps in a 100-MHz channel bandwidth (i.e., 10 bits/second/Hz) is achieved at the average received E_s/N_0 per receiver antenna of approximately 17.5 dB using 16QAM modulation and Turbo coding with the channel coding rate of 8/9 in 4-by-4 MIMO multiplexing by QRM-MLD with ASESS. |
