Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper we describe an experimental study of the DSRC consecutive radio zone with the reactance diversity reception scheme. The DSRC consecutive radio zone with Radio-on-Fiber (ROF) scheme has been suggested by NICT ITS Reserch Center. It might provide continuous road-to-vehicle communications for a high-speed vehicle. But this configuration inevitably includes co-channel interference at the mobile station, because incoming waves from multiple RRSs interfere with each other in the overlapped area of adjacent zones. The solution of this problem is applying antenna diversity tequniques to the reception antenna. We assumpt that continuous communicatinos without using hand-over processing can be achieved by an angle diversity technique. The reactance diversity technique by newly designed 3-elements ESPAR antenna with the reflector was adopted. It was confirmed experimentally to be able to decrease the decrease at the reception power level by the generation of interfered signals in the overlap area in DSRC consecutive radio zone.
