Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Time-domain spreading MC-CDMA systems have been proposed for the down-link of the 4th generation mobile communication system. In the down-link high communication quality and capacity can be attained because the orthogonality among users is kept. This paper proposes a time-domain spreading MC-CDMA system for the up-link. In the proposed system, the up-link signals of users are synchronized in the time domain using a time-alignment technique so that the orthogonality among users can be kept. As a result, high communication quality and capacity can be attained in the up-link as well as the down-link. In the proposed system, the orthogonality among users is reduced by a timing synchronization error and a carrier frequency offset. In the paper, through a computer simulation, we evaluated the effect of carrier frequency offset, which causes inter-carrier interference and inter-code interference. As the result, we clarified that the proposed up-link system shows good performance while the carrier frequency offset is under 50Hz.
