Automatic LUT Estimation for Baseband Predistortion

Abstract(in English) It is important to estimate the I/O characteristic of the target amplifier to obtain better performance of the distortion compensation in baseband pre-distortion. Although estimation of AM-AM distortion compensation data with the amplification gain and the saturation power is relatively easy, it is difficult to estimate AM-PM distortion compensation data without considering its detailed circuit composition. This report proposes a new method that estimates AM-PM I/O characteristics by detecting out-band emission power. This method has features that determine AM-PM distortion compensation data to minimize out-band emission power. The numerical simulations that use 64QAM as a modulation method are carried out. It is clarified that proposed method can compensate AM-PM distortion excellently yet the AM-PM I/O characteristics are unknown.
