Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, a number of low-complexity maximum-likelihood detectors (MLD) for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems have been investigated, such as a QR-decomposed sphere decoding. This paper proposes an iterative equalization scheme with extended MLD to frequency-selective fading channels for wideband transmissions. The proposed scheme employs a frequency-domain equalization preceding the iterative MLD, to approach ML performance with reasonable complexity. Moreover, an approximated MLD algorithm, that achieves extremely good performance under heavy-dispersive channels, is derived for the iterative equalization.
