Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, novel optical orthogonal codes (OOC) using fiber bragg gratings (FBGs) are proposed, in which a broad band optical pulse is spread into several different wave-length pulses. There are many related works, in which they have been evaluated mostly with equal code weight designs. In this paper, we evaluate a new optical orthogonal code design with unequal weights using FBG encoders. The proposed codes are designed as masked and/or separated codewords of conventional MQC codes. Results of performance evaluations show that we can control error-free regions of optical CDMA systems by changing parameters of unequal OOC weights flexibly.
