Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In DPC-OF/TDMA systems, total system band which consists of 1024 subcarriers is divided into several subchannel blocks every 64 subcarriers, and each mobile stataion (MS) can use several subchannel blocks according to the size and the service of MS. In this case, it is important that each MS can estimate the channel state corresponding to the number of used subchannel blocks with common pilot signal in downlink. This paper proposes the channel estimation technique which enables MS to estimate the channel state of used subcarriers regardless of the number of subchannel blocks used by MS. We employ the signal based on carrier interferometry (CI) as a proposed pilot signal, which is equivalent to impulse signal, so MS can estimate impulse responce. In the receiver, each MS estimates the channel state of the used subchannel blocks by controlling the phase of the received pilot signal according to the number of used subchannel blocks. We confirmed that the proposed scheme can flexibly estimate channel state with high accuracy regardless of the number of subchannel blocks used by MS.
