Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we evaluate the connectivity of multihop inter-vehicle communications with space-time coded cooperative relaying. In inter-vehicle communications, radio links are often blocked by obstacles, such as heavy vehicles without relaying capability. In multihop networks, two or more vehicles are used to relay a packet to a destination node. Therefore, even a single link breakage leads to a significant decrease of the connectivity or capacity in multihop inter-vehicle communication systems. In order to overcome the link breakage, we introduce multihop cooperative relaying with space-time coding. Through system-level evaluations, it is confirmed that the conectivity or capacity can be increased by cooperative relaying.
