Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new orthogonal frequency and space division multiple access (OFSDMA) system which makes effective use of the ubiquitous antennas in the OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system. In the proposed system, all mobile terminals over the service area are divided into some groups, the mobile terminals in each group are multiplexed by OFDMA, and the groups are multiplexed by SDMA (Space Division Multiple Access). The group dividing here can be carried out randomly or due to terminals' position. Computer simulation results show that the proposed system can improve the BER performance and frequency utilization efficiency even when randomly dividing.
