Transmission Performance of DS-CDMA with MIMO Multiplexing using Frequency-domain Iterative Parallel Interference Cancellation

Abstract(in English) Recently, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) is gaining much attention for achieving very high speed data communications with limited available bandwidth. However, in a frequency-selective fading channel which consists of many paths with different time delays, the performance of non spread-spectrum single-carrier (SC) transmission significantly degrades due to severe inter-symbol interference. We have proposed a frequency-domain subtractive iterative parallel interference cancellation (PIC), that perform frequency-domain equalization and PIC in an iterative fashion, for separating the signals transmitted from different antennas while achieving antenna diversity effect and evaluated its performance improvement. In this paper, we apply the frequency-domain iterative PIC to multicode DS-CDMA MIMO multiplexing and its bit error rate (BER) performance in a frequency-selective Rayleigh fading environment is evaluated by computer simulation.
