Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) MIMO enable the application of spatial multiplexing as a way of increasing transmission rate. If the transmitter knows the channel status information (CSI), the channel capacity can be maximized by employing the Eigenbeam-Space Division Multiplexing (E-SDM) scheme. In this method, there is a problem that a channel estimation error degrades the transmission quality and the calculation load proportionally increases according to the number of antennas and sub-carriers. This paper proposes a new downlink beamforming method that uses the CSI in multiple sub-carriers. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed beamforming method by a computer simulation and experiments.
