Optimal Design of MIMO Antenna Arrangement for Specified Distribution of Arrival Waves

Abstract(in English) In order to investigate the influence of anttena arrangement on MIMO channel capacity, it is necessary to argue independently about antenna arrangement and propagation channel. To formulate this mathematically, we proposed to express them as a linear operator, and based on the formulation, we developed the optimization algorithm which can obtain antenna arrangement having increased channel capacity iteratively. Proposed algorithm is the same mechanism as an EM algorithm, and works if result of channel sounding is available and given any constraints of antenna arrangement.
