Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Spatial control schemes such as adaptive arrays and MIMO systems are promising technology to improve the transmission capacity of mobile communication. However, there are some problems when these schemes are applied to mobile terminals because they utilize several antenna elements on tiny terminals. In this paper, the effect of antenna element pattern on antenna pattern control of array antenna is analyzed and evaluated. The maximal ratio combining method is utilized as an example of control method for MIMO systems. It has been shown that interferences can be suppressed enough even if the antenna elements pattern is not ideal and the element space can not be kepi enough.
