Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The MIMO-OFDM Eigenmode Adaptive Transmission System (EMATS) is considered as one of the candidates for future high speed wireless communication networks. In this paper, the system performance of frequency-space domain power and modulation coding adaptation schemes on the MIM0-0FDM EMATS based on the IEEE802.11a are evaluated, and a throughput of about 400 Mbps at the SNR of 40 dB is achieved. Furthermore, we propose the Hierarchical Subgroup Adaptation (HSA) algorithm which can drastically reduce the amount of overhead signaling and computational complexity with minimal performance loss. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is validated by the computer simulation under the condition of IEEE802.11n channel models.
