Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A 45-degree linearly polarized array antenna in which printed slots are arranged on both sides of a microstrip line is designed, and its characteristics are revealed. First, the coupling level between a microstrip line and a pair of slots arranged on both sides of feedline is evaluated. Based on this result, a 16-element slot array is designed, and its characteristics are investigated by the moment method analysis and measurements in order to confirm the effective performance of the antenna. In addition, characteristics of the array antenna, in which a backing reflector is introduced for the suppression of unwanted back radiation and for the improvement in the gain, is also revealed.
