A Study on Interpolation methods of Impedance matrix for Method of Moment by using PC Cluster Systems

Abstract(in English) PC Cluster systems, which consist of multiple parallel processors, have been introduced widely in the field of numerical computation for reducing the total construction costs as well as the maintenance costs. In order to increase the efficiency of the calculation of Method of Moment(MoM) using PC Cluster systems two methods: 1) efficient impedance calculation by using the symmetric relationship for the physical structure of a target antenna, and 2) efficient interpolation for the impedance matrix of the target antenna in the frequency domain have been proposed so far. In this paper, two methods for data exchange between PCs were compared numerically by using the measured results for the data exchange since the total performance of PC Cluster systems strongly depends on that of the data exchange. Also, three antennas: 1) dipole antenna, 2) helical antenna, and 3) Balanced-fed Dual-band Antenna were used in order to assess the calculation errors for the input impedance of those antennas based on the interpolation for the impedance matrix of the target antennas in the frequency domain.
