Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) G. Mazzini et al. [1] showed that Spread Spectrum (SS) codes with Markovity give lower bit error rate (BER) than the conventional linear feedback shift register (LFSR) sequences such as Kasami and Gold codes, as well as independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) codes in asynchronous DS/CDMA (direct sequence/code division multiple access) systems. However, SS codes are required to have not only low BER but also quick code acquisition performance. We have proposed a code acquisition method based on a posteriori probability for chip-synchronous DS/CDMA systems [9]. This report extends this acquisition method for asynchronous (or, chip-asynchronous) systems and shows Markovian SS codes have a good property in code acquisition as well, i.e., Markian SS codes makes calculation of a posteriori probability easier.
