Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a method for lossless compression of digital audio data. The proposed method comprises pre-emphasis, adaptive filter and rice coding. The pre-emphasis is performed to normalize frequency characteristics before the prediction stage by the adaptive filter. The adaptive filter employs not only input samples but also residual errors to improve prediction accuracy. Finally, the residual errors are efficiently compressed with the rice coding. Experiments using many audio data reveal the proposed method is effective.
