Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is a rational way for IP phone users to choose the best phone network considering which network other users join, because they pay nothing for the calls to others in the same network. In this paper, the competition and the diffusion of IP phone services are studied, using a simulation model in which it is assumed that the IP phone is equivalent to the fixed line phone except charge-settings. The relation between the charge-settings of phone services and the number of members in each network are examined. And the effect of the alliance among IP phone services on the diffusion is mentioned.
