| 抄録(和) | 本研究では、幕末期における南関東の一村落である上名栗村古組を対象とし、その村落構造がどのような形態をとり、またどのように保持されていたかを、村落内世帯の婚姻行動と連関して論ずる。その分析には、宗門改帳に記述されている婚姻関係および世帯の持高、そして村落の地理的位置を用いる。村落内の社会的階層は、世帯の持高によって上層・中層・下層に分類され、それぞれにおいて婚姻相手の選択志向が異なることを示す。そこでは上・下層において遠方への嗜好が見られるのに対して、中層においては近郊への志向の集中が見られることが示される。このような結びつきの分化が、村落内の階層構造を保持させる動力たり得ることを提唱する。 |
| 抄録(英) | We study a rural village, Kaminaguri-Kogumi, which was in South Kanto in Japan in the last days of the Tokugawa shogunate. It is especially studied, what kind of structure was sustained in the village, and how the structure was kept via their marriage actions. For this study, we use Shumon-Aratamecho which describes marriage relations, household incomes, and so on. With analysis of the data, we show that the village was hierarched to three layers, top, intermediate and bottom. These three layers indicate different intensions against marriage partners. The top and bottom layers intend to partners with comparably far village, while intermediate layer shows concentration of intension on neighbors. We propose this differentiation of connection must be a driving force of the hierarchicalization of the internal structure of the village. |
