Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Emotion fractal-dimension analysis method is proposed to evaluate the state of mind of human beings, with fractal-dimension analysis of electroencephalograph (EEG). In this approach, EEG features are extracted from fractal-dimension of differential signals of EEGs measured through ten EEG electrodes so as to extract the fundamental emotions such as anger, joy, relaxation, sadness and worry. In this report, we shall perform leaning by means of the neural network and compare its result with an emotion matrix about recognition accuracy. As results, the improvement in the recognition accuracy about 15[%] is found be carried out by means of the neural network. In addition, we shall estimate the related measurement locations by means of the emotion matrix or a connection weight of the neural network. We shall examine the relations between the measured locations and the resultant emotions. When subjects imagine fundamental emotions, one may find the relation between the measured locations on the basis of Ch3, and Ch4 and the emotions through the construct the emotion matrix. In addition, the relation between the measured locations on the basis of Ch7, and Ch11 and the emotions through construct the connection weight of the neural network may be found.
