Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper considers timing synchronization issues in spatially extended multi-hop sensor networks. Coalescence time or dead-lock in such timing issues have ever been elucidated neither theoretically or experimentally. Here, in the IEEE 802.11 ad hoc LAN protocol, we prove theoretically such dead-lock patterns arise under certain conditions. Probability of dead-lock pattern emergence and coalescence time distribution is also obtained numerically.
