OFC Report : Quantum cryptography and ultra-fast signal processing

Abstract(in English) Technologies on quantum cryptography and ultra-fast signal processing, reported in Optical Fiber Communications conference 2005, are briefly described. Application techniques of quantum key distribution to optical networks, such as WDM with communication channel and clock distribution/synchronization methods were reported. Many reports related on wavelength conversion/waveform regeneration using semiconductor optical amplifiers and their monolithic integration with wavelength variable lasers were made. Regeneration and measurement of DPSK signals were also reported.
