Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We study on the flat super-continuum (SC) generation method employing an optical fiber amplifier with normal dispersion. Through numerical simulations, we design the SC fiber in such a way that the fiber parameters can be realized by using Erbium-doped fibers. Then, we conduct an experiment of SC generation from a pico-second pulse source at a repetition rate of 10 GHz and evaluate the quality of the generated SC pulse for the application of multi-wavelength light sources. We confirm that the proposed SC source has the low-noise performance that stems from the flatness of the SC spectrum.
