Abstract(in English) This paper reports an automatic chromatic dispersion compensation scheme using tone modulated CS-RZ signal for optical networking with path provisioning is proposed. The proposed scheme can detect both chromatic dispersion value and its sign over the wide dispersion range with sufficient accuracy. Its dispersion compensation capability is confirmed in a 100 GHz spaced 8 x 43 Gbit/s WDM transmission experiment in laboratory. We have also demonstrated 43 G based oath provisioning in the field environment through the use of automatic dispersion compensation based on the proposed scheme.
