Abstract(in English) We describe on OTDM transmitter with a newly developed OTDM module, simultaneously generate both of carrier-suppressed (CS) RZ and in-phase RZ signals at 160 Gbit/s, based on electro-absorption modulators (EAMs). We also discuss the feasibility of 160 Gbit/s CS-RZ modulation format with 640 km transmission and 320 GHz-spaced 4 x 160 Gbit/s dense-WDM transmission.
