Abstract(in English) Luminescent properties of CaLa_4Si_3O_<13> : Tb^<3+> have been invstigated as a new green PDP phosphor for Xe_2 excimer band excitation. PL emission intensity of CaLa_4Si_3O_<13> : Tb^<3+> under 172nm excitation reaches the maximum at the Tb content of 25 molar %, and the peak intensity is about 75% compared to that of Zn_2SiO_4 : Mn^<2+>. Since the host excitation band of CaLa_4Si_3O_<13> : Tb^<3+> is found in the range from 140 to 200nm, CaLa_4Si_3O_<13> : Tb^<3+> is considered to be a candidate for a green PDP phosphor for Xe_2 excimer band excitation.
