Abstract(in English) BaS : Mn thin film electroluminescence (TFEL) devices have been investigated as a new green EL. BaS : Mn powder shows a pure green photoluminescence (PL) peaking at 535nm. However, EB-deposited BaS : Mn thin films show not only green but also red PL emission. A luminance of the EL devices is 8.8cd/m^2 under 1 kHz drive. The weak luminance is thought to be due to dominant infrared emission.
