BaAl_2S_4 : Eu Thin Films Prepared by RF Sputtering

Abstract(in English) BaAl_2S_4 : Eu thin films which is only key-material for inorganic electroluminescent displays were prepared by RF sputtering method. Substrate temperature and post-annealing condition for BaAl_2S_4 : Eu films were investigated. The thin films showed green with a bluish tone photoluminescence with a peak at 485nm. X-ray diffraction results show that crystallinity of sputtered films are poor although the (311) diffraction peak of BaAl_2S_4 were detected. We have analyzed the composition with X-ray micro analyzer, it is found that different composition films are formed.
