Abstract(in English) | We propose a new high efficiency white light emitting organic device named SC^3M(Side-Coupling-Color-Changing-Method), in which the blue emission from organic layer is laterally transferred to the adjacent orange color conversion material. Out coupling efficiency of SC^3M device was rather improved simply by making used of confined lateral emission within the thin film organic layers. By using blue OLED with 5.1% of external quantum efficiency (EQE), we can realize white OLED with 8.9% of EQE in the SC^3M structure. |
