Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The depth-fused 3-D (DFD) display is a novel device that presents depth information using a stack of two LCDs. In this study, we subjectively and objectively examined whether DFD display induces to more visual fatigue than 2-D displays. The results indicate (1) there were no statistically significant differences, between 2-D images and DFD images in terms of impairments of visual functions and (2) subjects responded more quickly when viewing DFD images than viewing 2-D images.
