Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have investigated the photovoltaic properties of 2 sets of organic p-n heterojunction photovoltaic cells prepared on TiO_2 films consisting of either (I) ITO/ TiO_2/ MEH-PPV/(PEDOT-PSS)/ Au structures or (II) ITO/ TiO_2/ dye/ phthalocyanine/ Au structures. For device structures I, the short circuit current (J_) increases from less than 1mA/cm^2 to 4mA/cm^2 successfully by inserting the PEDOT-PSS buffer layer and nano-crystalline TiO_2 layers. For device II, we have used various dye materials, such as tetrapyridyl porphyrin (H_2TPyP), DCM, Coumarin6, perylene derivative (BP-PTCDI), and Buckminsterfullerene (C_<60>). The open circuit voltage (V_) of lined up in order of DCM>BP-PTCDI>H_2TPyP>C_<60> which corresponds to the order of the electron affinity. The largest short circuit current density was obtained for the ITO/ TiO_2/ C_<60>/ CuPc/ Au multilayered structure. Higher values of V_ and J_ of 0.49 V and 5.42 mA/cm^2, under 130 mW/cm^2 white light illumination, were obtained by substituting coevaporated layer of C_<60> and CuPc by C_<60> layer and by heating the substrate at 120℃ during the deposition.
