Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We demonstrate fabrications of two-dimensional colloid crystal as a photonic-crystal slab on the surface of azopolymer, which was attained by combination of the photo-induced deformation and immobilization property. A two-dimensionally indented structure on the surface of azopolymer was fabricated as a template by drawing the surface relief grating twice. Microspheres were arranged on the surface in accordance with the template structure. Finally, two-dimensional photonic crystal slab was obtained from the following photo-immobilization and washing procedures. This combinational procedure can render various two-dimensional arrangements of microspheres and can be applied to fabricate a waveguide-type photonic device by the photo-immobilization through photomask.
