Abstract(in English) | Nonlinear optical materials have wide applications to optical signal processing. Especially, optical bistable and threshold properties caused by optical Kerr effect originated by the third-order nonlinear optical properties are applicable for optical memory, optical switches, optical logic gates and other devices. Such devices are important components for optical information processing and optical computing. Optical signal processing using nonlinear optical materials are discussed and describe the experimental results of optical bistable behavior using a quasi-waveguide structure. |
