Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical properties of absorbent dye films in linear region are described using the complex refractive index n(λ) + ik(λ), quantitatively. The real part n(λ) has an anomalous dispersion around an absorption band. The optical main interest for the dye thin films is, however, a structure of the absorption spectra and the imaginary part k(λ) only has been discussed mostly on the optical characteristics. The careful consideration to the complex refractive index is necessary for the utilization of the light reflection and the refraction besides the absorption by the dye thin films. In this paper, the optical responses of the absorption and the reflection are discussed from the view of the complex refractive index.
