Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The demand which carries out optical observation of Japan and its circumference by high resolution from a satellite for disaster monitoring, earth environment, the weather survey, resources survey, etc. has been increasing. In order to always carry out optical observation of Japan and its circumference from above, it is possible to put a large telescope satellite on quasi-zenith orbit. In the case of a quasi-zenith satellite, it is not easy to raise resolution that its orbital altitude is 36,000km as high as a geostationary satellite. But there is hope of bringing about resolution 1m into reality. This paper describes the result of feasibility study of the large telescope installed a satellite on a quasi-zenith orbit.
