Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A design criteria of MPLS path protection network is presented. A target is to lessen TCP goodput degradation due to a protection switching. Retransmission timeout which causes goodput degradation is analyzed theoretically for MPLS path protection. The analytical results are verified through simulation. Designing MPLS path protection networks enabling less goodput degradation are provided through this analysis.
