Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The maximum a posteriori probability (MAP) decoding algorithm minimizes the bit error probability, and is widely applied as an iterative soft-output decoder for the class of turbo codes. But the MAP algorithm is much more complex, thus, suboptimum MAP algorithms are considered for practical system. The Max-Log-MAP decoding algorithm is one of near optimum algorithms, and reduces decoding complexity. In this paper, an analytical method of bit error probability for 4-state convolutional code with Max-Log MAP decoding is presented.
