Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a single carrier time division multiple access (TDMA) cellular system using adaptive modulation scheme (AMS) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) based frequency domain equalizer (FDE) to achieve high multipath interference and inter-cell interference immunity for one-cell reuse cellular systems. To suppress inter-cell interference (ICI) due to one-cell reuse scheme, the weight vector in the FDE is controlled to maximize signal to interference plus noise power ratio (SINR) in addition to compensation for multipath fading. To further reduce ICI, the proposed scheme also employs receive diversity and AMS, thereby increasing average throughput as well as reducing outage rate of the proposed system. Computer simulation confirms that the proposed scheme can achieve outage rate of 2.4% and can achieve equivalent cell reuse factor of 1.4 in one-cell reuse single carrier TDMA uplink systems.
