Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, a mobile ad hoc network in which radio terminals autonomously build a network has received much attention. The increase in hops causes not only the improvement of spacial reuse efficiency but also the reduction of time utilization of channel. It is one of the reasons for it that IEEE 802.11 DCF MAC protocol is not designed for multihop communications. In this paper, we study and discuss the channel capacity of ad hoc networks which use IEEE 802.11 DCF MAC from the viewpoint of time and spacial channel utilization. As a result, the interactions of channel capacity, transmission radii, hop counts, and the number of S-D pairs are shown.
