Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) ln this paper, we'll describe how we made the circuit volume decreased and comoutation time shorter to developa low-power and high oerformance JPEG 2000 LSI. ln DWT logic, the number of multiplier decreased by optimizingcomoutational algorithm of the DWT and the quantity of SDRAM access decreased by means of limited size comoutationwithout tile boundary artifact. And also we made entropy comoutation ootimized to realize high-speed codec. As the result, itsSDRAM access is reduced to 1/6, and it is oossible to encode or decode vGA (640×480 pixel) video 30 frames per secondsuitable for Motion JPEG 2000.
