Abstract(in English) | Electrochemical soft actuators based on conducting polymer, polypyrrole films were fabricated. The improvement of response time was subject of this study, and the following results were obtained. The actuation of film by electrochemical oxidation and reduction was improved in the strain and response by increasing the content of acetonitrile in water solution. In the operation of actuator, the driving voltage was modified in the manner of imposing the alternative sine wave voltage as well as frequency. The strain and response were slightly improved by this modification, though the detailed mechanism were not known. |
