Abstract(in English) | As a new fault locating method of an optical fiber cable, MFDR(Modulation Frequency Domain Reflectometry) is studied. Optical pilot signal is sinusoidally modulated, of which frequency is swept, and the frequency response of the reflected optical signal is inversely Fourier transformed. Fundamental characteristics are investigated by simple analysis, computer simulation and exeperiments. |
