Abstract(in English) Many persons with speech impairments need helper of their conversation. There are also much those who only have speech impairments in it. They can live the same life as a healthy person in addition to the speech impairments. In order for these persons to live with a healthey person, the tool to make conversation easier is indispensable. We developed a speech synthesizing software in Japanese and its application for use on a personal digital assistant (PDA), which is called Voice Aid. This tool will be improved the quality of life and social activity of these persons with speech impairments.
