Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the present study, the camera direction and the iris, zoom and focus of the electric camera lens were automatically controlled for the improvement of eye detection. The moter-driven swivel slide and electric zoom lens were controlled by the output signal of PC. The control of camera direction and zoom used the eye positional information obtained from the eye detection system. The iris and focus of camera lens were adjusted using the average brightness and contrast of the input image, respectively. We evaluated each of these automatic camera control functions. In results, the mis-operation rates of the camera direction and lens controls (iris and zoom) were 0%. The focus control error was 0.92%.
