Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is important to clarify teletraffic characteristics for planning, designing, and operating mobile communication networks. Handoff between the base station is necessary to support the terminal mobility in these mobile networks ; and handoff highly depends on the terminal motion characteristics. We have developed a terminal motion simulation that can give the terminals arbitrary motion properties (probabilistic distribution of cell dwell time and moving direction) used with network simulator. Basic characteristics of handoff location distribution and the channel occupancy time ware evaluated.
