Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are developing an integrated learning environment for Kanji Learning called "WWW-KALIST". Our system is a WWW-based learning system which provides various kinds of Kanji learning environments to students. For example, WWW-KALIST offers Kanji CAI systems and electronic Kanji dictionaries. Students can use them freely for their Kanji learning. WWW-KALIST monitors their status for giving educational advice to them. This advice provides candidates of appropriate Kanji learning applications for them in order to control their learning process indirectly. In addition, WWW-KALIST controls the learning process indirectly by using LAP : Learning Application Property which represents profile information of each Kanji CAI system and electronic Kanji dictionary. This paper reports the features, mainly these learning control functions, of WWW-KALIST.
